Commedia dell'arte: Italianate Mask-making & Design

From the mischievous Harlequin to the braggart Il Capitano, in this 5-day workshop you will begin by choosing your own exuberant Commedia dell’arte character. 

      With this persona in mind, you will develop your own design for a mask and learn to produce it using a range of professional and authentic techniques.

Fruit-Casting: An Introduction to Making Life-like Props

This four-day workshop will introduce you to the skills and techniques needed to create lifelike props and objects.

      From plaster casting to mould-making, to using latex and painting methods to create realistic effects, you will be guided through the process of producing a convincing fruit or vegetable prop.

In this half-day course we will learn the basics of traditional upholstery techniques.
