I have taught Prop Making and Mask Making in multiple institutional settings over the last thirty years.

The skills I teach are relevant to those wishing to develop their practical and design techniques for the film and theatre industry.

My expertise covers a range of areas, such as:

  • Carving and sculpting techniques using styrofoam, polystyrene & clay

  • Life-casting and mould-making skills using plaster, silicon & latex

  • Soft skills such as upholstery

  • Painting and breaking-down techniques for props & furniture

I continue to teach on the Foundation Theatre Design course as an Associate Lecturer at Camberwell College of Art (UAL).

 

I have created and led courses on Props, Mask Making & Puppetry for The National Theatre, Rose Bruford College, Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, UAL and Wimbledon College of Art. These courses range from beginners to degree level. I have a PG Cert in Art, Design & Communication.
