Bespoke mask & prop-maker
for theatre, television & film
I am an experienced props maker, and bespoke mask maker and designer, and have been a part of the British theatre industry for many years.
Based in London, my specialist skills range from mask-making, prop-making, puppetry, model making and life casting to painting effects, sewing and upholstery techniques.
I have worked for companies including The National Theatre, English National Opera, English National Ballet, The Royal Shakespeare Company, Chichester Festival Theatre and Plymouth Theatre Royal, alongside a wealth of freelance work.
Recent work includes props making on 'Cabaret', 'The Importance of Being Earnest', 'Peer Gynt', 'Angels In America' and 'The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time' for theatres like The National Theatre, alongside many other West End productions. My mask work for film includes 'St Ives' and 'Legacy'.
Solo exhibitions of my mask work include showings at The National Theatre, Burgh House in Hampstead and at Lauderdale House in Highgate.
I am an Associate Lecturer at Camberwell School of Art (UAL) on the Foundation Theatre Design course.
I devise and teach short courses in prop-making, mask-making, upholstery, puppetry and polysculpture for scenic arts. These have been held at Camberwell & Wimbledon Schools of Art, The National Theatre, and Rose Bruford College.
